Where is ALTITUDE High Ropes course?
It is situated in the Littledown park.
How do I make a group booking?
Can I book in advance?
Save money and get priority by booking in advance, Book Online or call 0300 500 0595. Advanced bookings can be made up to the previous day of the activity (i.e. Friday for a Saturday booking).
Can I book on the day?
Pay on the day bookings can be made at the ALTITUDE shop at ALTITUDE High Ropes Adventure in Littledown Park and operate on a first come, first served basis.
When is ALTITUDE open?
ALTITUDE High Ropes Adventure is open weekends between the months of April to September. During school holidays, the opening hours are extended to run throughout the week.
Can I book for individual activities e.g. Zip Wire?
There’s no need to book in advance for individual activities, these can be paid for on the day.
Will I get a refund if the weather is bad?
Refunds will be given if the course is closed for bad weather. The only time the course will ever be closed, will be due to torrential gales, thunder and lightning.
What clothing should I wear?
For your enjoyment and safety, check out the weather forecast for the day and dress accordingly. We recommend:
Long trousers with a zippable pocket and long t-shirts
Long hair must be tied back and all jewellery removed
Waterproofs (weather dependant)
You will wear a helmet so, no scarves / headbands / caps / big clips
Closed toe shoes with shoe laces tied up (no crocs, flip flops or wellies)
No overly baggy clothing
To protect your hands you may wish to consider wearing a thin pair of gloves
We recommend insect repellent and sunscreen
Are there any age and weight limits?
The minimum age for this facility is 5 years
The minimum age for lone participation on the High Ropes Course is 8 years old
Under 8s can take part in the High Ropes Course if accompanied by an adult (ratio one adult to one child)
Weight limits apply – High Ropes Course 120kg (19st), Fan Descender 120kg (19st), Zip Wire 115kg (18st)
A parent or guardian must be on the ground in close proximity to the course whilst the activity is taking place for 5-12 year olds. For adventure parties and group sessions, the party organiser will be asked to signed and be responsible for all members of their group.
What do I do with my belongings?
There are lockers available for small personal belongings on site.
The participant needs to be able to support their own body weight and be able to understand instruction.
You must inform us of any specific needs prior to your experience, particularly any medical conditions which may affect your ability to complete the challenges.
Safety & Instruction
Fully trained instructors (all DBS checked) give all participants initial instruction including familiarisation with the safety harness and ancillary equipment. Every participant is fitted with safety equipment, which includes a full body harness and a helmet. Helmets are colour coded to easily identify children (blue), adults (white) and instructors (orange).
