What time do I need to arrive for my session?

Check-in at customer services at least ten minutes prior to the booked session to collect your wristband. Each Clip ‘N Climb session lasts one hour.  You will have a pre-climb briefing where our instructors will talk you through the safety aspects of Clip ‘N Climb, show you a safety video and fit your harnesses once you have completed the disclaimer form. You will then have approximately 45 minutes of climbing.

How can I book a session?

What if a member of my party has special needs/concerns?

Please tell us and we’ll do our best to ensure that they get the most out of the experience with no hassle or fuss. We are able to accommodate customers with disabilities so please let us know of any mobility restrictions or learning needs.

Do I have to stay with my child during the session?

Children under the age of 12 years must have an adult accompany them to the Clip ‘N Climb briefing room prior to the session starting. We do ask that you remain in the building throughout the session.

Are you allowed to take a camera or filming equipment up onto the climbing walls, including Go-Pro devices?

Climbers are not permitted carry a phone or camera on them whilst they climb. Phones or other devices may become a hazard to other climbers.


What if I get thirsty, can I take a bottle of water on a climb?

Sorry, no drinks, gum or food are allowed in the Clip ‘N Climb arena.

Do I have to go through the safety briefing if I have been before?

Yes. It is mandatory for all climbers to attend the full safety briefing regardless of having visited before. The briefing will run at the start of every session, if you fail to attend the full safety briefing, you will not be permitted to climb and will not be entitled to a refund or session change.


Do you have wheelchair access?

Wheelchair access is available to the climbing areas and throughout the centre. To ensure your day runs smoothly, please inform the centre or climbing team in advance if you wish to participate in the our climbing so we can ensure all the equipment is set up for your arrival.

Is there somewhere to eat and drink?

The Terrace Café is located on the first floor, serving hot snacks, Panini’s, wraps, cakes and other light refreshments for you to enjoy after your climb. Why not treat yourself to our Climb ‘N Dine offer. Enjoy a climbing session and a kids deep dish pepperoni or cheese and tomato pizza for £10 per person.

Are there car parking facilities?

Yes, there is plenty of FREE car parking


Can I watch my friend and family climbing within the climbing arena?

Whilst we do not permit spectator viewing from within the climbing arena, you can watch all the action from our first floor balcony or from the outside of the climbing arena. There will also be limited opportunities to stay within the arena after undergoing clipper training provided by our trained instructors.

Can I take photographs or videos of my children?

To ensure the safeguarding of all those involved, photography and recording is not allowed during public/ casual booking sessions. Photography and recordings can be permitted upon request during private sessions. A photography consent form can be provided on the day, to be completed by the leader of the booking party.

Where can I keep my personal belongings?

We operate a secure locker system for small personal items within the climbing arena. Larger items can be stored in lockers located within the changing facilities. Please be aware, all items are left at the owner’s risk. A £1 coin (refundable) will be required to use the locker.
