We are a social enterprise driven by three objectives. One is to get more people, more active. By offering concessions on our membership packages and pay-as-you-go pricing throughout our centres, we make the benefits of an active lifestyle accessible and affordable for everyone.

Great value memberships

All our memberships offer great value, but discounted memberships make our facilities more accessible for students, over-60s, under 16s and people who can attend during off-peak times. Whoever you are, there’s a membership package that’s just right.

Free swimming for children

Most kids love the water, and the sooner they feel confident to jump in the better. That’s why under 5s swim free in all our Bournemouth and Poole centres. And why under 12s swim free in all our pools in Portsmouth.

Access Card

People receiving benefits often miss out on sports and social activities. An Access Card gives you concessionary access to our leisure facilities and cultural events. The card runs for a year and can be renewed as long as you continue to meet the eligibility criteria. Do I qualify?

Portsmouth Leisure Card

People living in the PO1-PO6 areas of Portsmouth, and who are in reciept of certain benefits, can get up to 40% off pay as you go sports and recreational activities including swimming, gym sessions and classes. There are also discounts available on selected Clip ‘n Climb sessions at Mountbatten and Exploria at Pyramids. The card runs for a year and can be renewed as long as you continue to meet the eligibility criteria. Visit the Portsmouth City Council to see eligibility criteria and to apply for a card online. Once a Portsmouth Leisure Card has been awarded, simply pop into your nearest BH Live leisure centre to find out more about how to book activities and get the discount.

If you’re recovering from an illness or managing a chronic health condition, the right kind of activity can be the best medicine. Our expert exercise referral team can arrange a bespoke, discounted programme of activities that can help you feel better and get back on your feet. Ask your doctor to refer you, or simply book an appointment to come and see us.
