The Worshipful, The Mayor of Bournemouth, Councillor John Adams, is hosting a Walking Football Tournament at Littledown on Monday 21 March 2016 to promote physical activity for the over 50s and support his designated charities:
- Bournemouth Leukaemia Fund
- Julia’s House
- Macmillan Caring Locally
- Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra
- Bournemouth Above and Beyond
- Bournemouth Round Table No 5
- Bournemouth Amateur Philharmonic Society
To coincide with this event, The Barclays Premier League Trophy will also be on display at Littledown from 9.30am to 12noon, and from 1pm to 5.00pm; a great photo opportunity for all football fans who wish to make a donation towards the Mayor’s Charities.
The Mayor hopes to have up to 20 teams taking part (first come, first served) at a cost of £50 per team. Players must be aged 50 years or older.
Teams will be six-a-side plus up to two subs, the matches will be played on outdoor pitches, duration seven minutes each way. Walking Football Rules apply.
